Jaguar Ambassadors Update Front Entrance to School with New Plants

Jaguar Ambassadors

A team of dedicated students met for several weeks after school to improve the landscaped area near the front entrance of our building.  Students pulled weeds, removed rocks, installed edging, and planted and fertilized yellow and white mums to highlight our school colors.  They also tackled transplanting shrubs in the area never fearing getting mud on their clothes or shoes.  Additionally, near the Conrady Digital Marquee, students planted bulbs of a variety of different yellow and white daffodils. They eagerly look forward to seeing their efforts bloom in the spring.

Having self-respect and being proud of your school or workplace influences how you invest your efforts in what you do. This is a necessary element in building a successful school community.  When students have a direct stake in something, they are more determined to complete what they are doing with determination and respect. Jaguar Ambassadors are modeling ways for students and teachers to positively influence the physical surroundings of our school grounds as we celebrate and show off our Blue Ribbon status!
